What is personally identifiable information?
These are things such as your name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone and fax number.
Information Collection and Use
TTLA, its affiliates, partners and sponsors may use personally identifiable information from members at several different points on its Web site. Once a member enters TTLA, the member is not anonymous to TTLA, and usage patterns of the site can be monitored on an individual basis both for security and marketing purposes. TTLA works with third party vendors to provide a more customized experience for users of this site. To do so, we disclose personally identifiable information to those vendors, though we do not allow them to re-sell or use that information for their own purposes.
Text Messaging Opt-In Data: If you choose to opt-in to receive text messages from us, we may collect your phone number and related data required for text messaging services.
Text Messaging Opt-In Data: Your phone number and related data collected for text messaging services will only be used to send you text messages and updates related to TTLA programs and initiatives. We will not share or sell your text messaging opt-in data, consent, or related personal information with any third parties, unless required by law. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Registration Information Collected
In order to use portions of this Web site, a member must complete a registration form. During registration a member is required to verify his/her contact information (such as name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone, fax number).
Credit Card and Financial Information Collected
Financial information (including credit card numbers) may be stored on TrialSmith's secure servers and will only be requested over secure SSL connections. Only TTLA and TrialSmith have access to this credit card information for the purposes of fulfilling orders and purchase requests from members.
Cookies & Web Beacons
TTLA and TrialSmith require cookies (small text files placed on your device) on their Web sites for member tracking and security purposes. TTLA also uses cookies to understand users’ browsing and buying activities so that we can measure the success of online advertising campaigns we run on the Site. Our site also uses web beacons (either directly or from our partners), along with cookies, to determine if a user has visited a particular web site. These beacons aid in providing more relevant advertising to the user, as well as measuring the success of an advertising campaign, but provide no personally identifiable information. This information is used to enhance the user experience while visiting our site and to improve the performance of our site by, among other things, allowing us to monitor site performance, making the site easier to use, measuring the effectiveness of promotional placements, and tailoring the site (including the ads and offers a user receives) to better match a user’s interests and preferences. Some of TTLA's business partners may also use cookies on the TTLA site (for example, vendors or sponsors). However, TTLA has no access to or control over cookies used by business partners, vendors and sponsors, and the member may choose to block cookies from those business partners. There a variety of tools to control cookies, web beacons and similar technologies, including browser controls to block and delete cookies and controls from some third-party analytics providers to opt out of data collection through web beacons. Your browser settings and other choices may disable some of the functions and features of the site and the site may not work properly. By continuing to use our site, you are agreeing to our placing cookies and/or web beacons on your device. If you do not wish to accept cookies or web beacons, please discontinue use of the site.
Other information collected by TTLA
TTLA and TrialSmith receive and record information in their server logs from members' browsers including the member IP addresses. TTLA uses information for customizing content members see, for security purposes, administering the site, tracking member movement, and gathering broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP logs may be linked to members with personally identifiable information including searches performed on TTLA and TrialSmith.
Sharing your information
TTLA may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and sponsors. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual TTLA member. TTLA may partner with other businesses to provide specific member services. When members sign up for TTLA services provided by other business partners through the TTLA site, TTLA may share personally identifiable information that is necessary for the third party to provide such services. These business parties are required to use personally identifiable information exclusively for the purpose of providing their services.
