The TTLA Advocates are attorneys who have been members of TTLA for ten years or less. This standing committee was formed in 1993 as a means for our younger members to participate in and shape the Association's objectives.
Comprised of member volunteers and TTLA staff, the Amicus Committee not only screens requests for amicus curiae briefs, but also actively tracks issues and cases as they rise through the judicial system.
The Audit Committee oversees routine financial audits to ensure the Association is in compliance with all legal, financial, and accounting requirements and best practices.
The Budget Committee prepares TTLA's annual budgets, ensuring that the budget is balanced and reflects the Association's programmatic priorities.
The CLE Committee plans programs throughout the year, and helps with the overall strategy of TTLA's CLE seminars. Along with staff, this committee creates program agendas and works to enhance the quality of our CLE offerings.
The mission of the Diversity Committee is to increase representation of women and ethnic minorities within the membership and to encourage their participation within all aspects of the Association.
The Finance Committee ensures that TTLA has the resources necessary to fulfill its mission and fund its programs appropriately.
Legislative Management Team
The Legislative Management Team is responsible for providing key direction during the Legislative Session.
Our members are the heart, soul and strength of TTLA, and the Membership Committee is responsible for recruitment and retention of new and current members. This is our largest and most visible committee.
Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee takes a long-term view of TTLA to ensure that the Association is serving the Association's mission and is prepared to meet the needs of its members.
The Women's Caucus encourages the involvement of new and existing women members. This group hosts events at our Midyear and Annual Conferences.
Local Trial Lawyer Associations
