Dues to professional associations are normally deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense; however, the portion of dues related to lobbying is not deductible. Your annual dues statement will reflect the portion of dues that are not tax deductible. As always, we suggest you consult your tax attorney or tax adviser for further details.
