2026 ADVOCATES BOARD

The TTLA Advocates are attorneys who have been members of TTLA for ten years or less. This standing committee was formed in 1993 as a means for our younger members to participate in and shape the Association's objectives. The Advocates are governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for developing programs and initiatives that engage newer members.

Expectations & Requirements

The Advocates Board of Directors serve on a rotating three-year term. Board members are chosen following an application and interview process. All TTLA members are notified when the application period opens each Fall. To qualify for service on the Advocates Board of Directors, an applicant must be a member of TTLA for ten years or less.

All Advocates Board members are expected to do the following: (1) serve for three years; (2) promote TTLA work to other attorneys in your community; (3) attend in-person and virtual meetings throughout the year; (4) organize and attend local and statewide events; (5) participate in TTLA membership recruitment/retention, legislative, and political efforts; (6) make a voluntary contribution to TTLA PAC.
